Check out the kettlebell swing demo video below. A couple of key things that I want to point out:
At 20s: notice how far down his chest comes at the bottom of the swing, and how far back the bell goes between his legs. He is flexed at the hips, and only slightly at the knees. Try to pause the video in the back swing to really get a good look at this.
At 32s: the narrator says to squeeze your butt and push your heels down. He then says “let the bell swing down, do not fight it.” This is critical to loading your hips and hamstrings in the right way.
