8 Toes to Bar
Thanks to Jordan for calling my attention to this video. Chris Spealler and Matt Chan demonstrate a “more efficient” way to do toes-to-bar. It involves first hitting a knees-to-elbow, then flicking your toes straight at the bar, then dropping your feet straight down.
This is a great way to do this movement if you are proficient with the kip, and you have a high level of stamina with this movement. Because you can do more faster, it requires more sustained power. Also, if you struggle with the kip, it will be better to do the more traditional toes to bar with feet out front. This will allow you to feel the rhythm a bit better.
