Workout of the Day

10 rounds of:
Row 30s
Rest 30s

then…

10 minutes rest + mobility

then…

10 rounds of:
Row 30s
Rest 30s

*score = total meters rowed
*compare to 12/1/15

The Sprint Start

Today we’ll be rowing for maximum power in short bursts – only 30s at a time. To make the most of this workout, you have to “get off the line” quickly. That simply means we need to get the flywheel moving from rest to as fast as possible… well, as fast as possible.

Here’s a short (and incomplete) video on the sprint start for rowing. Your key takeaway for class is that you’ll have 3 shorter strokes with no layback to get the most power input quickly.
