Be As Violent As Possible
Today we’re going to incorporate some deadlift speed work into our workout. As Mark Bell states in this video, the goal is to be as “violent as possible, and move the bar as fast as possible.” We won’t be using bands like these guys do, but we will keep the weight moderate (~65-75% of 1RM). This is a great way to build explosive power off the floor without having to use maximal weights. Less fatigue = better recovery.
