Workout of the Day

A) Front Squat 5’s
Week 4 of 5
5 sets of 5 reps on the 4:00 interval
Increase weight every set
Add 5-10 lbs to last week’s final set

A2) Weighted Ring Pullups
5 sets of 3 reps at 2:00, 6:00, etc
Add 2.5-5 lbs to last week’s final set

B) Hip Extensions
Accumulate 40 reps in 2-3 sets

The Best Female Gymnast Of All Time

Simone Biles is arguably the best female gymnast of all time. She has won gold as the all-around best in the last three world championships, and she is undoubtedly headed for gold in the individual all-around in Rio. Other gymnasts, including those on the dominant American team, have said they’re all competing for silver because Simone is simply that good. On Tuesday night she led the USA to the gold medal in the team competition.

Here’s a short video of her floor exercise from the Olympic trials earlier in July. Check out the air time in her tumbling passes! The 2nd tumbling pass includes a half-twist blind landing that has been named after her. Awesome stuff.
