Coach Jaron Pearson started CrossFit in 2013, when well-known CrossFitter, Kevin Ogar, introduced Jaron to the sport. Initially, like most everyone who signs up at an affiliate, Jaron was looking to lose weight and tone up; not only did he lose weight, he got into the best shape of his life and has been hooked ever since. In 2015, he pursued his CrossFit Level-1.
His athletic background started with childhood sports. He played soccer, football, wrestling, and ran cross country. Eventually he met some people that were really big into skateboarding. “I loved the challenge and skill to skating, so I started skating most of my high school and did competitions.” By his senior year of high school, skating had taken a toll on his knees so he eased his way out of it and picked up some weightlifting with friends going to a globo gym and doing “bro lifts.”
